Marco Mariani (1962) is a trumpeter of great preparation, he has played with several jazz groups, acquiring all languages that characterize this music. Leader of BJBU – Bocconi Jazz Business Unit, the Bocconi University official jazz band, he is soloist of Civica Jazz Band of Milan and First Trumpet of Artchipel Orchestra, who won the Italian Top Jazz prize in 2012, 2014 and 2017 as Best Record and Best Group. In the last three years he started exploring the dynamics of the small groups, ranging from the rarefied atmospheres of Chet Baker music to the extreme moods of noise. He has played with a lot of famous musicians like Enrico Intra, Franco Cerri, Giorgio Gaslini, Kenny Wheeler, George Gruntz and Dee Dee Bridgewater among others
